Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and DeepTrics (“DeepTrics”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the DeepTrics Internships platform (the “Service”). By creating an account, applying to a program, mentoring, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction (whichever is higher), to create an Intern account. If you are between 16 and the age of majority where you live, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian is aware of and consents to your use of the Service.

Mentor and administrator accounts are provisioned by DeepTrics staff. Those accounts must not be transferred, shared, or sold.

3. No fees

DeepTrics does not charge you to apply for, participate in, or complete any internship program. We will never request payment from you for access to the Service or for credentials issued through it. Any request for payment claiming to be from us is not from us; please report it to admin@deeptrics.com.

4. Your account

You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please use a strong, unique password and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep it current.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit work that is not your own, or present content generated by automated tools as your own without clearly disclosing it where the assignment calls for original work.
• Submit content that infringes another person's intellectual-property rights, that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or threatening, or that violates the privacy of others.
• Attempt to abuse, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service or any of its components — including the AI evaluator, rate limits, or authentication systems.
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or impersonate any other student, mentor, administrator, or third party.
• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where appropriate, we may preserve and disclose information in response to lawful requests.

6. AI evaluation

Your weekly submissions are evaluated by an AI mentor (Anthropic Claude) on a best-effort basis. The AI's scores and feedback represent its assessment of your work against the published rubric; they are not a guarantee of your skill level, employability, suitability for any particular role, or any specific outcome. Human expert reviewers are available on request and may revise an AI evaluation.

We may change, retrain, or replace the AI evaluator at any time. We aim to keep the rubric and evaluation methodology consistent within a cohort.

7. Credentials

Offer letters and experience letters are digital documents issued and stored against an auditable record of your participation. They describe your participation in a structured program; they are not equivalent to a degree, accredited certification, or guarantee of employment. Any third party verifying a credential is responsible for assessing its weight in their own hiring or admissions process.

8. Intellectual property

Your content. You retain ownership of the work you submit to the Service. By submitting, you grant DeepTrics a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, evaluate, and display your submission to mentors and administrators as needed to deliver the Service — including transmission to our AI-evaluation subprocessor for the limited purpose of generating evaluation output. This licence ends when you delete your account, except for copies retained in audit logs or required to be retained by law.

Our content. The Service itself, including the DeepTrics name, marks, design, and codebase (other than open-source components subject to their own licences), is owned by or licensed to DeepTrics. You may not copy, modify, or distribute these without our written permission.

9. Mentor and administrator obligations

Mentors and administrators are bound by additional obligations regarding the handling of student submissions and personal information. These are governed by the operating guidance provided to those roles. Mentors and administrators agree not to use information accessed through the Service for any purpose other than performing their role.

10. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting admin@deeptrics.com. We will delete your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy, except for information we are required to retain.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, or if we are required to do so by law. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue first.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DEEPTRICS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any AI evaluation will be accurate or complete. We do not guarantee any specific learning outcome, credential, internship placement, or employment result from participation.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DEEPTRICS AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND SUBPROCESSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DeepTrics from and against any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your infringement of any third-party right.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction TBD by counsel], without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of [Venue TBD by counsel] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms, except where local consumer protection law gives you the right to bring an action in the courts of your country of residence.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent version. For material changes, we will notify you via the email on file before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and DeepTrics regarding the Service.
• Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
• Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
